Norwalk Man Caught With 70 Bags Of Heroin In Stamford

A Norwalk man was nabbed with 70 bags of heroin following a tip to the Narc squad that he would be in Stamford to make a deal.

Joshua Cordero, aka "Dimitri", 27, was busted around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, after officers in the Narcotics and Organized Crime squad heard that he would be in town to sell some heroin, said Stamford Police Capt. Richard Conklin.

The officer's set-up a watch in the area where the drop was supposed to take place on Seaton Road, Conklin said.

Around 2:30 p.m. Cordero arrived in a blue Lexus driven by his girlfriend and officers intercepted them.

A search of the vehicle turned up 70 bags of heroin in the door pocket, Conklin said. 

During a search of his body, police also discovered 3.3 grams of crack cocaine. 

The girlfriend was released. 

He was arrested and charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, and possession of narcotics, police said.
